Georgina Thorburn is Soprano based in Sussex and London. From a young age she has had a passion for music whether it was bashing the piano or singing along in the back of the car.

Educated in East Grinstead, West Sussex, Georgina performed regularly as a soloist and took part in community projects including choral and solo performances at Worth Abbey, as part of the Sackville Community Opera and at the South of England Country Show.

Her first experience of classical learning was the piano, which she continues to play today.

Georgina graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, with a BMUS in Music Performance and is currently studying at The Associated Studios on their Advanced Part-time Musical Theatre Course. She is currently studying under Leontine Hass, with a previous tutelage from Joan Rodgers and Robert Bottriell.

Georgina has taken advantage of the paths available to her with enthusiasm, and has had the delight of singing with the Trinity Laban Chorus, lead by Dominic Peckham, been chorus leader in the Blackheath Community Opera in 2014, 2015 and 2016, collaborated with composition students at Trinity Laban, and made her solo operatic début as Papagena in Die Zauberflöte as part of Puzzle Piece Opera Company.

Georgina regularly performs with New Sussex Opera and has performed all over the United Kingdom as well as in New Zealand. From the tender age of 11, she has sung at weddings across the country and is available to do so in London and the South East.

Excited to pass on her love of music to younger generations, Georgina has
